Pittsburgh Center for the Arts School offers parties that combine celebration with artmaking. People of all ages and any type of group can participate and enjoy all that our facilities have to offer. All celebrations can be cutomized to be exactly what you want for you and your guests.

Most parties are two hours*.  Sixty minutes of that time is reserved for a hands-on art activity and the remaining hour is for presents, food, games and other activities at the host’s discretion.

A teaching artist will guide the art activity and is responsible for all art-related cleanup. The staff party coordinator will assign the teaching artist and act as a liaison between the artist and host. Art activities for children must be developmentally appropriate and approved by the host before the event. The host will guide any other activities and entertainment including games and refreshments, and are responsible for all other cleanup. All host-guided activities should be cleared with the party coordinator prior to the event.

Most groups can include up to 30 participants* and any number of non-participating adults (for children's parties), up to the maximum occupancy of the chosen room. There must be a minimum of one adult for each 5 children for children's celebrations to ensure that children are properly supervised.
