Katie Murken creates works of sculpture and collage through transformative studio processes that draw meaning from the inherent properties of materials infused with chance, myth and science. Over the past decade Murken’s work has been shown nationally, including exhibitions at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ; The Soap Factory, Minneapolis, MN; The Contemporary Arts Center, Las Vegas, NV. Her work is included in the collections of The Free Library of Philadelphia, William Paterson University, NJ and the J. Edgar Louise S. Monroe Library in New Orleans, LA.
