untitled (with deleuze and serres)

There seem to be two main ideas that have determined my work, though it may just be that these two ideas are simply the minimal elements needed for some process to occur.

One is the idea of interstice, or membrane, or sieve - it is the site of a relation, a transferal and a transformation. In other words, the location in which some signal is simultaneously formed and deformed. Mirrorpane glass functions in the same manner; simply as a filter of light that demarcates two distinct spaces (in the case of my recent work, as demarcation of interior and exterior).

The second is an idea of the object as folded, complicated, or otherwise intensified by its multitude of produced/productive relations i.e. its signification. Again, mirrorpane can demonstrate a means of elaboration on the possibilities of folding at the site of transference.
