Fiberart International 2016 is a benchmark exhibition presenting the best in contemporary fiberart. FI2016, the 22nd edition in an ongoing series of triennial shows presented by the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh, was juried by Chunghie Lee, Arturo Alonzo Sandoval, and Tali Weinberg and will feature works by 78 established and emerging artists from 14 countries, providing a unique opportunity to see current trends and innovations in this constantly evolving medium. This exhibition is divided between two locations, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and the Society for Contemporary Craft.

Educational components of FI2016 include a docent program, the Fiberart Forum - a one-day conference featuring exhibiting artists, and Pop des Fleurs, community-created public art installations of winter flower gardens made from fiber art materials. Funding for FI2016 was generously made possible by the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh, The Heinz Endowments, The Fine Foundation, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Friends of Fiberart International and The Sprout Fund.  Funding for Pop des Fleurs was generously made possible by the Colcom Foundation.
