Short Courses for Adults at Filmmakers and Center for the Arts
Want to extend your knowledge of studio, media or writing based artmaking? Register for a community arts class at PF/PCA. From very short Workshops where you can expect to leave with a finished product to a longer class of 4 - 10 sessions, we offer programs in hugely diverse media in ten fine art and media studios at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts School and our educational facilities at Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
Programs for Children and Teens
Does your child or teen show a real interest in studio or media based artmaking? Need safe, creative child care for a day off from school or for a few hours on a weekday or weekend? Register your children for a multi-week weekend or afterschool class, a holiday or inservice camp. We even have Children's Open Studios where younger children can spend one to three hours exploring creative themes on a weekday or Saturday morning. PF/PCA's Summer Art Camps and High School Immersions are a perennial favorite. Browse, learn more about, and register for them here.
Programs for Families
PF/PCA is community resource that is available for the whole family. In addition to occasional family-friendly events on-site and in the community, Family Workshops are the perfect opportunity for adults and children to create together in a fun and creative environment. New parent and child Open Studios give caregivers an additional option for engaging with their little ones on a weekday.
Programs for Groups
There are a variety of ways that we can engage your group in the arts, both on-site at our Pittsburgh Center for the Arts campus and at your location. From a customized studio exploration to a sustained Artist Residency project or even a Birthday Celebration, we will work with you to achieve your unique goals.
